Bayer-Israel was founded in 2008 as fully owned subsidiary by Bayer AG. Bayer-Israel operates in Pharmaceuticals, Consumer Care and Crop Science, managing sales and marketing of company products, and conducting research and development activities in Pharmaceuticals and vegetable seeds. The company employs approximately 150 people.
The company’s head office is in Hod Hasharon near Tel Aviv, where Pharmaceutical, Consumer Health and Crop Science divisions operate. A Bayer Crop Science site is located in Teradion in the country’s north, where R&D and breeding activities in vegetables seeds take place.

Pharmaceuticals division operates in Cardio-Vascular Diseases, Ophthalmology, Oncology, women's health care, men's health care, and Specialty Medicine, as well as Radiology and Intervention. Consumer Health division markets Bayer’s top products for skin care, eye care and self-treatment products.

Crop Science division operates Research & Development facilities in the vegetable seeds development function, while crop protection products are marketed here by distributors, and researched by Bayer-Israel.
